walk away now and you're gonna start a war

maine was amazing and glorious.  i’ll post some photos later.  the trip included boats (lobster and row-), copious and varied seafood, meteors!, s’mores, rainstorms (one that we got to experience from within a miraculously dry tent), seals, bald eagles, seagulls, hikes so steep they involved iron bars drilled into the rock, swimming, candlepin bowling, very poorly executed games of pool, a banana split, a ridiculously awesome dar williams concert, crossword puzzles, movies, knitting, many pints of maine-made microbrews, blueberries galore, balsam firs, driftwood, the l.l. bean flagship store, tightrope-walking fire jugglers, and the most delicious sauvignon blanc i’ve ever had.  and best of all, many, many hours with the one i love the most.

and now i’m trying to figure out ways to bring the magic of that week home with me.
